My client, a local authority based in London, requires a School Improvement Consultant to contribute to the implementation of School Improvement Strategy, to ensure that the Council fulfils its remit to challenge schools towards continuous improvement through raising standards, improving teaching and learning, and improving leadership and management.
To provide support and intervention for the Borough's Primary Schools in order to raise standards of attainment and achievement, improving pupils' progress, and the quality of provision and leadership. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the schools' Inspector and demonstrate their capacity to work collaboratively with other officers to challenge under performance at all levels.
The main Responsibilities are to Support school improvement in assigned schools, working closely with each school's inspector, to help secure the rapid improvement of a school causing concern; monitoring and reporting on their progress, and contributing to the review of the school's procedures. In collaboration with consultants, undertake classroom observations and monitor the quality of teaching and learning, providing advice and challenge where appropriate, to ensure that provision and outcomes are of the highest quality.
