Description
Type/Code is looking for an exceptional Magento developer to join our team to bring a large eCommerce site live. As it stands now the store is roughly 75% built, and needs to be seen through launch and post launch refinement. The developer who started the project faced unforeseen difficulties and is no longer able to complete the project. We need to find a replacement and get back up to speed.
Role:
Your role will involve working closely with both the Type/Code team and our client’s team to bring an in-progress Magento store through launch. You will be supported by the Type/Code team in certain front-end and Wordpress-related development tasks as needed — you will be expected to own all development related to Magento.
The store is built with Magento Community 1.9.0.1 and is integrated with Wordpress 4.0 using the Magento Wordpress Integration extension. The store is deployed on Amazon AWS using Elastic Beanstalk for application hosting, RDS for database hosting, and SES for transactional emails. Iron.io is used to manage periodic tasks. Payments are processed using Braintree. Familiarity with these systems is essential.
The store is designed to follow a lot of core eCommerce paradigms supported by Magento, but also contains certain highly custom components. The store is integrated with an on-site hosted ERP system using software provided by eBridge connections — your role will involve communicating with both the client’s team and eBridge to make sure that data is flowing properly between Magento and the ERP.
You:
- Have deep experience building rich stores on the Magento platform.
- Have experience building dynamic and pixel-perfect user interfaces.
- Have experience working with the AWS hosting platform.
- Experience translating PSD designs into HTML, CSS and Javascript.
- Have excellent communication skills and are comfortable interfacing with designers, clients, and third parties.
- Are within three timezones of NYC, or can work a shift schedule to facilitate communication with our team.
- Are highly detail oriented.
- Enjoy the work you do and are passionate about creating beautiful online experiences.
Compensation:
Since designs are well established, we are seeking a flat project fee. We are more than willing to provide access to design materials and thoroughly discuss intended behavior in order to help you create an estimate.
