Description
Responsibilities:
You will provide technical support to partners and/or customers for Cisco technologies, products, and/or solutions.
You will typically be responsible for resolving moderately to highly complex technical problems, depending on the customers' need.
Simulate technical problems in lab environment.
You will have to provide internal and/or external technical presentations (cross-training).
Escalate some specific problems to the responsible Business Units for product enhancement.
Strive to technical excellence and expertise and support other to develop
Occasional travel to customer may be required
The job holders will work to European office hours and provide some weekend support cover.
Experience:
Strong "core" networking skills in routing and switching to include all of the following skills - MPLS, MPLS-Traffic Engineering, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, Netflow.
Good knowledge of Service Provider Network Architecture.
Good Linux sysadmin skills: Shell Scripting, user permissions, file systems, disk space management, log file location, performance and analysis.
Advantageous:
Prior work experience in a large service provider multi-vendor environment is helpful.
Vendor certifications from Cisco, Juniper, Huaweii, ALU
Experience with web services and able to troubleshoot: XML, SOAP, REST, Apache, Tomcat, load balancers, web server performance
Scripting skills for processing large amounts of data, use/modify existing scripts and automate work is a plus
VMWare and virtualization knowledge
