Description
You will join a highly qualified Database team to provide database administration support and application deployment services to corporate applications. The application portfolio is complex and consists of a set of bespoke and third party vendor applications, mainly developed in .NET using departmental customised .NET frameworks, and a number of applications developed with other technologies, in particular Oracle and MS Access.
As an overview, you will:
- Undertake installation, configuration, support, maintenance, enhancement and fault diagnosis of the production and non-production database and application platforms used by bespoke and third party vendor applications.
- Utilise major technologies such as: Microsoft SQL 2000, 2005, 2008, 2008R2 and 2012 including SharePoint Services, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, Integration Services and Business Intelligence.
- Undertake operating system support, in particular .NET framework and integration with IIS6 and IIS7/7.5 included with MS Server 2003,2008R2 and 2012.
- Complete service requests through prescribed systems & processes
As the successful applicant, you will:
- Have a minimum of five years demonstrated experience in Database Administration.
- Have demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Databases such as MSSQL 2008 and 2012.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows Server and 2012
- Be a strong communicator.
- Have the ability to work in a team environment.
