CB/HQ - Optimisation Engineer - Reading - 6 month contract - £200 per day
My client, a global manufacturer of consumer electronic products, is looking for an Optimisation Engineer to actively coordinate the Optimisation area of an existing telecoms rollout project. The role will involve managing Drive Test Subcontractors in order to perform optimisation activities within the established roll out plans and installation lead times.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
*From the Site Delivery plans, formulate Drive Test clusters and plans for delivery
*Receive Drive test logs and analyse in accordance with agreed procedures and processes
*Provide daily updates on rollout plans and attend weekly update meetings
*Specific point of contact with the Drive Test tools supplier, identifying and escalating any issues that occur and managing through to completion
*Be the specific point of contact for any Optimisation test team issues and manage through to resolution
*Ensure that high quality plans are being devised and delivered by the Optimisation subcontractors
*Update and coordinate acceptance of sites with the customer and all relevant departments
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
*Previous experience in an Optimisation Engineer role in a fast paced environment
*Strong planning and analytical skills
*Understanding of project management is advantageous
*Excellent Excel skills essential including VLOOKUP, Pivot table and charting
*Excellent Google Earth and MapInfo knowledge
*Previous knowledge of drive testing log collection tools essential (ACTIX, TEMS, NEMO, XCAL)
*Previous knowledge of OSS tools (NETACT, M2000, LSM-R)
*Excellent report writing skills
