Description
Oil Logistics Analysts is required for an initial 6 month contract at a leading Investment Bank based in London. This role sits within the Commodity Operations team and globally supports physical traders in London. The Analyst will work closely with the Trading team in London during core trading hours supporting the following - Booking Physical Product Flows, Transportation Monitoring, Inventory Reconciliation, and liaising with Settlements and the Back Office on Trade related queries.
Responsibilities:
The role covers a broad range of Logistics Coordination functions and the Analyst will be expected to become a subject matter expert in the Oil Trading Operations field.
Key responsibilities are outlined below:
- Physical product flow booking in Solarc RightAngle system
- Cargo/Inventory tracking
- Coordination with trading & counterparty for confirmation of figures
- Inventory reconciliation between system & Third Party reports
- On-going development and maintenance of relationships with clients and other operational areas
- Validation & booking of secondary costs
- Liaise with Settlements.
- Calculate & Report PnL events to Trading & product control
- Assist in Tax/Compliance tracking & reporting
- On-going review to ensure processes are optimal.
