For our client a major in utilities we are looking for a SOLUTION ENGINEER
As Solution Engineer Radio Network Engineering, your main responsibilities will be:
The build-up of know-how, foresee future evolutions, detect opportunities and provide creative solutions to enhance the quality and efficiency of our radio network and to assure that the radio network can seamlessly deal with capacity increase in voice & data. You enable radio network optimization on short- and long term by evaluating, selecting and designing new technologies and features. Some important focus points in the near future will be femto cells, WIFI and Internet in trains.
The development of models and engineering recommendations in order to optimize the usage of network resources and assure the highest service availability. You issue new radio network engineering recommendations and technologies based on studies & interworking-projects with business departments and other internal and external customers. An important focus point in the near future is the seamless interworking between WIFI and mobile technologies (2G/3G/4G).
The evaluation of the necessary hardware, software and new functionalities. For this, you update and review the necessary test plans, test specifications and test scenarios. Important in the near future will be your participation to feature validations and PoC's in the frame of mobile network quality improvement and innovation (Huawei Package 1 3).
The definition and update of all documentation and guidelines upon the introduction of new hardware, software and features. You review and adapt the default parameter list of the network (eg feature parameters input towards RND, project presentations to engineers and managers).
