Description
SSIS Developer, Manchester - 6 Months, £ per day DOEA SSIS Developer is required to assist an NHS organisation post implementation. You will be a core part of the development team utilising your SSIS and ETL skills to facilitate development work on the system and prior to some upcoming SQL migration work
The scope of work
The organisation has undergone a massive system implementation work and requires some connecting between the systems in line with existing system architecture. They are also running SQL 2008 Enterprise but planning to upgrade to SQL 2014 Enterprise before Christmas so you would get some exposure to the latest software release.
You will
- Be a key part of the development team working on upcoming project requirements and also assisting on some post implementation work
- Be utilising SSIS, ETL be creating SSIS packages and writing queries
- Have a good attention to detail, be process driven and have a good ability to flow instructions
- Have good experience in SQL BIDS and or other development tools
- Add tables, indexes to existing architecture - replicating same processes and practises
- Have a good knowledge of data warehousing however you don't need to be a seasoned developer in this field
- Have a strong ethic and willingness to learn and pick up skills in the latest SQL Version (enterprise 2014)
Desired skills
- Be confident in reports and SSRS development
- Experience or working knowledge of SSAS and cube development
