Description
Our client, a leading Biotechnology organisation based in Denmark, is seeking Cost Engineers, on a long term contract basis, to support its unrivalled growth and investment plans.The Cost Engineer will be responsible for operative project controlling and reporting within the Global Project Controls Office, reporting to the Project Controls Manager.
Responsible for some 30-40 projects annually with focus on up to 4 major schemes, Responsibilities include
• Deliver accurate, consistent and up-to-date financial project figures. (on KPIs such as current budget, actual spend, accrued cost, forecast, cash flow projection etc.)
• Perform budget analysis (e.g. plan/ actual comparison, forecast of variable personnel cost) and budgeting for the project and its respective sub-projects.
• Establish the relevant project reports on time and with the required quality and accuracy.
• Support projects throughout the full lifecycle from concept to close, interacting with the Engineering consultancy executing work.
• Apply and develop controlling tools.
• Take part in regular technical meetings to ensure communication with all Engineering functions and Project Developers as needed.
• Ensure interface with Risk Management, Procurement and Accounting.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience in the Biotech/ Bio pharm industry is essential for this role, specifically on major CAPEX spends
• Relevant Engineering. Commercial or Project Management or comparable degree.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work under high time pressure.
• Excellent MS Excel skills required; knowledge of additional controlling tools an advantage.
• Experience in interacting with colleagues in a Project matrix organisation.
• Previous experience of providing cost support on CAPEX projects from initial conception to close.
• Experience in Project Management and Project Controlling of large scale Greenfield/Brownfield projects.
