A pharmaceutical company in South Dublin is recruiting for a Global Sourcing Manager to join their expanding team.

Day to Day Duties:
- Work with all manufacturing facilities to harmonise, consolidate and refine sourcing strategy for plastics.
- Seek, identify and recommend opportunities for consolidation of plastics spend within the wider group to ensure maximum cost efficiencies.
- Implement a working sourcing strategy to continue to drive cost reductions for plastics spend, while delivering against current business needs.
- Connect with supplier base globally to deliver sustainable costs via the proactive management of key account spends. Ensure methodologies are in place to track performance, via the appropriate KPIs, while driving continuous improvement.
- Create/lead/support working cross functional teams to sustainably deliver a future sourcing agenda, via the engagement and alignment of Operations, Supply Chain, R&D and Quality teams.
- Network internally with key stakeholders across all Business Unit geographies to ensure cost savings initiatives are effectively planned & realized. Ensure close engagement with stakeholders to ensure appropriate tracking of cost savings.
- Significant (approx 60%) global travel required in order to source the most cost effective suppliers.
- Prioritise identified opportunities to deliver benefits to support cost savings targets.
- Supplier management by sourcing and developing a portfolio of plastics suppliers.

Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of third level qualification in engineering, science or technical discipline.
- IIPMM or APICS qualification preferred but not essential.
- Ten years experience in similar role within a pharmaceutical, diagnostic or electronics industry.
