Offshore Logistics & Installation ModellerA Renewable Energy client is looking for an Offshore Logistics & Installation Modeller to work on their offshore wind farm project based at the clients Midlands offices, 3 days per week. They are looking for an individual to develop a detailed logistics model that will pull together all the different parts of the logistics package. To start ASAP for an initial 6-9 months freelance contract.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with the logistics' package manager in developing methodologies and evaluating concepts
Assisting with the development and finalisation of a detailed offshore logistics and installation plan for the project
Evaluating transportation and installation options for the Wind turbine (tower, nacelle, rotor foundations, offshore substation, export and array cables to satisfy the projects schedule requirements
Assessment and evaluation of alternative transportation and installation methodologies
Assessment of alternative installation, transportation and support vessels, to satisfy the Projects technical and schedule requirements
Assessment of using alternative ports and sites for pre-assembly, construction, temporary storage and services requirements
Identification and assessment of risks and mitigations for offshore activities
Evaluation of sea state conditions to determine assessment of potential weather downtime during transportation and installation
