Compliance professional (Regulatory) required to work on the Registrations part within Entity Permissions and Passporting team within a Tier 1 Bank.

You will need to provide technical guidance, support and tailored feedback on Entity Permissions and Passporting issues to the Registrations team and the wider bank teams.

Role requirements:
  • Agree and take leadership on the development of the strategy, objectives and priorities for areas of responsibility
  • Proactively review and enhance Registrations processes and procedures and develop innovative ways to improve the service provided by compliance
  • Keep up to date on all regulatory related issues across a range of topics
  • Contribute to tactical and strategic initiatives which result in improved compliance and control.
  • Interpret key regulatory rules and proposed / associated regulatory changes in relation to entity permission and passporting
  • Provide oversight and guidance on key issues and lead on complex/high profile issues such as the MiFID II
  • Build and manage relationships and with key stakeholders (both internal and external)
  • Lead/contribute towards relevant external consultations discussions and policy debates as required
  • Provide SME input into Entity permissions and passporting Training, Policies and communications where required at a Group level
  • Maintaining a highly effective relationship with colleagues within Group Compliance to help ensure permissions and passporting requirements are being factored into all the teams outputs
  • Ensure that SME advice provided is of a high, consistent standard and documented appropriately
  • Provide SME input into the development and rollout of a global target operating model including future state technology and processes.
  • Will also provide expertise to additional projects with dependencies including representation on working groups


Preferred requirements:
  • Previous passporting experience e.g. advising/obtaining necessary regulatory licenses
  • Experience working within or closely with Compliance or Regulatory functions
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Experience leading framework reviews
  • Familiarity with the FCA/PRA application submissions
  • Knowledge a banks usual policy and processes
