Title: PRODUCTION PLANNER

Reports To: The Production Planner will report to the Operations Manager

Contract Type: Permanent Full-Time

Location: Offaly

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

My client, a world leading medical device company seek a production planner who will coordinate production planning activities to optimise material flow and processes in support of customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review and agree monthly volume & capacity requirements for a defined portfolio of products with Global Supply Chain and Production Supervisors respectively.
  • Schedule and maintain production planning activities in the execution of the Master Production Schedule and the translation of the MPS into detailed production schedules to ensure that customer requirements are met.
  • Monitor daily production output and coordinate any schedule variances.
  • Monitor inventory levels at Distribution Centres and prioritise production as appropriate.
  • Develop, maintain, analyse and publish KPI's relevant to business unit & department as appropriate.
  • Ensure effective inventory management & control in line with company targets by maintaining plant (both Finished Goods & Work In Progress) material inventories within defined monthly target levels, while minimising excess, obsolete and expired products.
  • Maintain accurate ERP master data to ensure 100% system data accuracy at all times.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • 4+ years direct experience in a Production Planning environment preferred.
  • Certification in APICS or similar qualification would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a lean manufacturing driven company is desired.
  • Experience of ERP system is required, preferable in Oracle.
  • Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles such as Forecast/MDS/MPS/MRP & inventory planning & control.
  • Demonstrated experiences of problem solving and process improvements activities.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft application's specifically, Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
