We are looking for a Workday Payroll Lead for a 6months + contract position in Duluth, GA.

CLIENT is seeking a motivated and experienced Workday Payroll Project Manager. Project Management responsibilities will be for the Workday Payroll & Time Tracking domains within a broad HCM implementation that will be led by our implementation partner. Overall responsibilities span people, project management, process and technology. The candidate will be responsible for working with key project team members across Finance to define the tasks and resources that will be required to implement Workday Payroll and Time Tracking for the US. In addition, the candidate will partner with IT, ADP and the implementation partner on the delivery of payroll integrations for several non-US countries. Responsibilities will also include integrating their plan into the overall CLIENT project plan.

Skills:

  • Undergraduate Degree (BA, BBA, BS in Business), or equivalent degree or work experience required
  • Deep Payroll, tax and accounting functional and operational knowledge required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects including project scope and client expectations Workday payroll experience required, PeopleSoft NA Payroll experience a plus
  • Experience with ADP Globalview and Streamline projects a plus
  • Experience with the full life cycle of both implementations and upgrades
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, standards and compliance
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines managing multiple tasks
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management and influence multiple stakeholder groups
  • This is project is expected to last for one year.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides input to planning the work activities related to the implementation of Payroll, Time Tracking and Global Payroll integrations to ADP
  • Manages execution of project plan and deliverables for the Payroll and Time Tracking domains Participates in planning, scheduling, and preparing for process requirements sessions Partner with the Payroll project team and Test Manager to ensure the development of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Payroll Parallel test scenarios and scripts
  • Participates in testing during System Test, UAT, and Parallel Testing as needed
  • Primary escalation point between Payroll project team and PMO on risks/issues/solution needs Coordinates team members, drives action items to resolution, ensures updates to change log for domains occur, participates in issue/solution discussions
  • Participates in Workday Project Planning Meetings
  • Consult/collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and partner with Change Team to help drive adoption of payroll and time tracking deliverables
