I currently have an opportunity for an experienced Software Manager with a background in Software and Firmware Development within Medical Devices.
The company design and develop products for the Wireless Healthcare Industry. The role will involve:
Maintaining the quality of the Software
Leading Development
Ensuring delivery to NPI on time and Liaising with the NPI Team
Co-ordinating various Software teams based at different sites
Co-ordinating Software Development Delivery and Processes
Line Management
Adherence to ISO Standards
Ensuring the best Software Tools
Devising plans for continuous improvement of software quality
The successful candidate will have experience in some or all of the following areas:
Good engineering degree or equivalent
Strong skills in Software Development from Embedded to Microsoft Server (around 10 years, some of which within Medical Devices)
An understanding of RF Products/Electronics
A working knowledge of FDA, CE MDD and ISO 13485 compliance for high volume medical electronics
Ability operate in a fast, high-pressured environment
5 years experience successfully managing Software Teams, ideally with separate team locations
Understanding of the requirements for development of regulated products
Solid understanding of the issues and best practices in creating and maintaining high quality software products
Able to build an effective, co-ordinated team, distributed across the world
