My client a leading International company is looking for a Software Test Engineer to join their team on the gold coast for an initial 6 month contract basis with extension options. The successful candidate will join a team working on an enterprise security product. You will design, develop, maintain and execute a combination of manual and automated tests using Python/Java/Javascript. Responsibilities will include working with the engineering team to understand testing requirements for new and existing functionality, designing test cases, developing automated tests and recording test execution. You will be part of software development team that uses the Agile methodology. Clear, effective communication with stakeholders in product development and product management teams is crucial
To be considered for the role you must have experience with the following:
- Designing and developing software test components
- Test creation using Python, Java or JavaScript
- Test planning and executing skills
- Knowledge of enterprise networks
- Agile development methodology
- Security technologies and architecture
- Cross-platform software development
- Rational Quality Manager
- Sharing knowledge with other team members, including software development engineers, software quality engineers and information developers
- Providing input to the planning process for Agile iterations and milestones
- Ability to set up testing harnesses
- Strong communication skills
- Rational Team Concert
