12 month contract for a Cobol IMS Developer - Dublin
Purpose of role
- The role of the IMS Cobol Developer will be to work with the MVS applications support team.
- The role will is to develop Cobol IMS data extract applications from specifications
Principal Accountabilities
- Collaborate with project teams in development of new software data extract programs and applications
- Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of project's business requirements, objectives, deliverables.
- Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications
- Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications as necessary
Knowledge and Experience
Essential Criteria:
- Cobol programming language
- IMS DB development
- Easytrieve Plus programming
- Mainframe development
- TSO/ISPF Mainframe editor
- JCL job Scripting
Desirable Criteria:
- PL/1 programming language
- Focus programming language
- Roscoe Mainframe editor
