Scala Developer/Hadoop/Big Data/NoSQL/Kafa/ZeroMQ
The Company
Consol Partners are currently looking for a senior Scala developer to work for our client, a massively well-known company based in Belgium who are building a platform which will be used by millions worldwide. The client has been very successful over the last ten years where they have seen a huge increase in user activity. The organisation has been running for over twenty years. The client is globally known for the work they have done with consumer experience.
The Role
The work will be based in Belgium. They have a very flexible budget for the right person, but above all they want someone who will be passionate about the project, has a genuine interest in helping the organisation grow and will have innovative ideas to share with the team.
The Individual
The successful candidate will have the following skill set:
- Extensive experience with Scala
- Extensive experience with messaging technologies like ZeroMQ, Kafka, Redis etc
- Solid understanding of Cloud technologies: AWS, Zookeeper, Chef, RackSpace
- NoSQL databases: MongoDB or Cassandra
- Big Data: Hadoop, Spark, Storm or Akka
- Languages: Python or Ruby experience would be a plus.
