Description
A specialist pharmaceutical company requires a Project Manager, Technical Transfer to manage the transfer of API product from one contract manufacturing site to another in the UK. The role will involve acting as a client representative for the medical device organisation during the technology transfer of an API / medicinal chemistry product from one manufacturing location to another.The role will primarily be home based, however it will require travel to manufacturing sites throughout the UK. Initially a 6 month contract there is the potential for extensions.
The Role:
*Driving cross-functional, multi-site teams, in technology transfer, new product introduction and business integration of new products.
*Translating customer needs into defined, approved project scope statements; works with stakeholders to quantify resource requirements.
*Establishing detailed project plan, drives execution of project tasks in line with agreed scope and time lines
*Following and driving the requirements in the Technical Transfer policies and S.O.P’s
*Establishing and executing the communication plan for the project and facilitating information flow between all stakeholders and sites.
*Monitoring project progress, managing project risks; minimising impact to the program or wider site.
*Escalating risks as appropriate to site senior management team & global product as appropriate.
*Acting as client / project representative on sites.
Experience
*10+ years in API / Medicinal chemistry industry
*5 years + experience of working in a technical transfer project lead role.
*Have program leadership experience of technical transfer projects
*A proven track record in the ability to transfer goals and objectives into measurable plans.
*Ability to identify gaps/risks and put appropriate remediation plans in place
*Strong process and manufacturing background
*Strong analysis and reporting with the ability to lead/facilitate problem solving.
*Direct experience of API and or Medicinal chemistry
*Excellent project management skills
*Strong understanding of technical development, manufacturing, quality and regulatory.
