Front-end Developer - HTML, JavaScript, jQuery - European Commission - Brussels
For one of our projects at the European Institutions in Brussels, we are urgently looking for a Front-end Developer.
Main tasks:
- Participate in the development of the most advanced solutions in Data analytics and its visualisation component.
- Design, develop, test and maintain presentation interfaces with optimal usability/user experience
- Participate in development analysis and support of the different systems
- Produce quality code that is well documented, and in accordance with system and technical specifications
- Liaise with other project teams as necessary to address cross-project interdependencies
For this role you need to have experience in:
- Core Specific Competencies is front end web-based development: HTML5, CSS, XML, JSON, JavaScript + jQuery
- Proven knowledge of visualisation libraries (e.g.: D3.js) and associated frameworks such as AngularJs (or similar).
- Experience of responsive design and UX best practices, along with fast prototyping (e.g.: interactive mock-ups) approaches and tools
- Proven experience in integrating GUI with back-end (mostly JEE)
- Experience Big Data Domain and visualisation would be an asset
- Experience working in agile environments using Scrum (or similar) and via innovative/interactive techniques to engage customers during project
Languages:
Fluent in English and French is an asset
