I have a great new role working as a Systems Analyst within the Pensions tech division of a leading investment house. You will be involved in developing and supporting front and Back Office solutions as well as being involved in all aspects of the life cycle, from the analysis of business requirements through to design, development, implementation and ongoing support. You will need outstanding Systems Analysis and design skills as well as experience in technologies such as WinTel, VB/COM, Dotnet, WCF and SQL (Oracle) and with SOA frameworks.

This role will entail the following;

  • Researches business problems; defines scope and impact of solutions
  • Ensures new technical solutions are properly integrated with existing processes
  • Supports business analysts
  • Writes user requests into technical specifications
  • Plans and documents solutions
  • Recommends third-party software and systems to meet business requirements
  • Supports developers in the creation of specified solutions; provides use cases, flowcharts or database design
  • Co-ordinates and performs System Testing
  • Develops deployment plans
  • Liaises between third-party vendors and information technology professionals
  • Interact with designers to understand software limitations
  • Responsible for developing cost analysis, design considerations, resource and process impact, and implementation timelines

Key skills:

  • UK Pensions, specifically Defined Contribution systems.
  • Key skills:
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architectures and web-centric applications
  • Familiarity with Defined Contribution Pension
  • experience in the Pension industry
  • Excellent analytical, creative, organisational and problem solving skills
  • Technical aptitude desired (eg Oracle, SQL, HTML, XML, ETL, OLAP, Business Intelligence, etc.) Foundation in SDLC methodologies working on large-scale IT projects
  • An understanding of UK Pension
