Computer Futures are looking for a Data Support Analyst to join a fantastic team of Business Intelligence team maintaining, developing and problem solving any queries relating to the Data Warehouse. The role will manage the development and loading of new data, and also concentrate on improving existing controls and processes surrounding the data warehouse. The successful candidate will have a real passion and desire for data analysis and querying data. Preferably this would be within a SQL Server environment. The candidate should also be competent with Business Objects and experience in other Business Intelligence tools would be valuable. The Data Analyst should have a good knowledge of the project lifecycle and understanding in various project roles would be an advantage.
You will:
- Collect project requirements from a variety of differing sources and methodologies and decipher these into clear and concise detailed requirements.
- Manage the various support requests which come into the Business Intelligence team by liaising with our development teams and ensuring an accurate and timely response.
- Receive and process information utilising the Excel V-Look up, dashboard's, Macro's and Pivot table functions.
Contact may be made with both internal and external customers of varying levels.
Required Skills :
- SQL [SQL 2008]. Director experience would be useful.
- Business Objects XI4.1 experience.
- Experience of dealing with interactions between development team and end users.
- You will be able to take an overview of projects, pro-actively looking at all aspects including project design, programming, data collection, reporting and data delivery.
- Analytical, flexible and able to problem solve.
Able to work on your own initiative.
Able to question internal and external customers, in a customer focused manner and able to actively listen. - Strong Organisational skills.
- Excellent decision maker.
- Works well under pressure and meets deadlines.
