Storage Architect is required by Profs4U for an International client
Contract period of 24 months +, Worklocation Luxembourg,
Starting ASAP. 40 hours per week,
Excellent daily/hourly rate,

For an international client we are looking for a Storage Architect with knowledge in:
- Design complex Storage/Backup & Recovery solutions based on the vendor specific experience of the architect. Ensure best practices adapted to the environment are applied.
- Define the corresponding Reference Configurations to support the best possible performance for the end customer.
- Define and assist in the implementation of policies on systems use and services, with the corresponding policy checks mechanisms.
- Oversee installation, provisioning, troubleshooting and reporting with System Administrators´ team.
- Regularly review and report storage/backup capacity and performance metrics, with corresponding trends for the future.
- Foster, develop and maintain relationships with technical counterparts at key vendor partners.
- Prepare request for changes to the environment in the particular domain of expertise, and be peer reviewer of changes introduced by operational team.
- Collaborate with the Senior Architect in the definition of the High Level Architecture.
- Coach System Administrators.
- Maintain required technical knowledge and certifications as specified by management
Education level/Experience:
- University degree in Computer Science or 4 extra years of experience as Architect besides the ones required below in the experience section.
- Be certified as architect of solutions of the corresponding vendor (Brocade, EMC, HDS, Netapp).
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Storage/Backup Architect.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as System Administrator.

- In-depth knowledge of storage and/or backup systems administration and storage architectures and technologies within a complex environment
- Experience with design of storage and/or backup infrastructure services in a large environment.
- Experience with designing and maintaining SLA for storage infrastructure services in a large environment.
- Very good understanding of fundamental and advanced security concepts and applied cryptography.
- Basic project management capabilities.
- Solid documentation skills in English.
- Working knowledge, written and spoken, of English required.
- Knowledge of French and/or German is considered as a plus.
