Solution Architect
Responsibilities:
•Responsible to design the optimal solution architecture that supports the business requirements.
•Responsible to make trade-offs between buy/build for different elements of the solution.
•Responsible for the integration of the solution architecture in the existing IT landscape
•Responsible for the overall quality of the solution (implementation and/or customization).
•Manage the scope and control changes.
•Ensure that existing principles, policies, standards and guidelines are being applied.
•Communication towards stakeholders and higher management
Technical skills:
•Knowledge of architectural patterns
•Knowledge of integration architecture: e.g. Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and related technologies like web services, XML/SOAP, enterprise service bus, security standards, etc.
•Knowledge of UML and/or ArchiMate
•Knowledge of object oriented analysis and design
•Knowledge of web technologies
•Knowledge of .NET, Java/JEE, …
Education:
Education
•Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering (or similar field experience).
Experience
•>8 years IT experience
•A proven track record of >2 years as a solution architect
•Very good knowledge of IT market trends and following technology evolutions.
Personal skills:
•Understanding Dutch and French, and speaking at least one of these languages fluently.
•Excellent oral and written English skills.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•Highly motivated.
