My client a top tier investment bank is looking for a Core Java Developer with ideally eFX experience to join their expanding team based in London.

What the role will entail:

Main duties are to Ensure a robust high-performance eFX Market Making platform that follows best practice in terms of architecture, configuration and capacity planning.

My client is looking for the following skills and knowledge:

Essential:

· 8 years of minimum experience of developing electronic Trading Systems using Core Java

· Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

· Take ownership, help specify and deliver large scale projects and work under own initiative.

· Capacity to take complex issues and explain them clearly and concisely to a wide audience.

· Excellent communicator, able to work effectively with senior traders and other developers.

· Understanding of workflows, key controls and related operational risk exposure.

· Good understanding of FX Business and trading practices.

Desirable:
  • Knowledge of FX STP Trade processing (Settlement, Fixings, Payment systems etc)
  • Agile Development Practices ( TDD, BDD, Automated Builds, Continuous Integration) / Scrum, Kanban Methodologies


The candidate must be able to work in a highly dynamic environment with demanding users. The successful candidate will gain excellent exposure to the business area and products as well as the opportunity to work in a technically challenging, delivery focused environment.

They're offering a 6 month rolling contract; they are looking at taking someone on in the next 1-4 weeks time. They offer between £600-£700pd so if you're interested please email me your up to date CV.
