Java Developer - London - 3 Months RollingI'm currently working with a leading travel company in Central London that are looking for an experienced Java Developer to start ASAP on a contract basis. This contract is paying from £350 to £400 per day.
Job Spec:
As a Java Developer you will be redesigning and rebuilding a brand new reservations system. You will ideally have architecture and design experience in Java to ensure all their applications are scalable.
Responsibilities:
*Engage with the agile scrum team and work with the BA's / QA's on the user stories and acceptance criteria.
*Function as a technical team leader.
*Provide and document technical solutions to business requirements.
*Estimation, planning and retrospectives
Essential Skills:
*More than 3 year system design experience in Java Development
*More than 5 year hands on coding experience in Java Development
*Java EE Platform (JavaBeans Activation Framework)
*Spring Framework, Hibernate, Struts, JPA
*SQL, DB2
*Webservices (REST/SOAP)
*JSON
*Object Relational Mapping
*Chrome and Firefox
*Eclipse
*Java Mail API
*Application server: Apache/Tomcat Server
*Presentation layer with JSP, Javascript, HTML, CSS
*Web2, Web Portals
*TDD and testing tools such as JUnit/Canoo/Selenium or similar
*Source code control
