This is a unique opportunity in the market for a Senior Managers position. Our client is a leading bank that is going on the journey of installing senior technology/business relationship/portfolio managers to foster more conducive relationships that enable more new business through the practice and innovative use of Front Office technology.
The Portfolio Manager will work under the Technology Group but be very entrenched in the business. They are responsible for delivering change and leading an agile team so scrum master exposure is well regarded. This person will also plan, manage people and manage budgets. This person executes strategy and thinks broader than delivering individual pieces of change.
The Portfolio Manager is responsible for ensuring the global markets team are meeting Dodd Frank regulatory reporting requirements and also that trade support operates at premium level of customer service to the business. They champion technology achievements, strengths, strategy and improvements across the business and provide regular reports and presentations to the C-Level on results, projections and ideas.
Working within a specific business stream you will develop and maintain deep relationships with business heads, external partners and internal technology teams - keeping abreast of all activities, issues and project pipelines. You will draw on you extensive knowledge of banking systems from a technology perspective to help scope best practice solutions of proven technologies, recommended enhancements and identified limitations.
Experience Required:
- Extensive experience in Technology at the Senior Level in business facing roles
- Experience as a Portfolio Manager, Program Manager, Head of IT, Technology Relationship Manager, Consultant
- Exceptional communications/presentation/negotiation skills at the Senior Level
- Experience managing large teams of direct and Matrix reports
- Extensive Global Markets experience across Fixed Income, Commodities, Rates, Equities, Derivatives
- Exposure to Murex and Calypso implementations
- Seasoned project experiences and use of vendors relationships
- Experience creating, maintaining and reporting on large project budgeting
- Strong business and account management skills
- Proven experience in reengineering a business for efficiency and growth.
