Special Educational Needs Manager

To manage Senior SEN Case Managers in order to ensure that children and young people with SEND aged 0-25 receive appropriate assessments, services and provision from Education, Health and Social Care.

This role will be Line management of the Case Officers and Senior Case Officer and any administrative staff employed within the Section according to the relevant Council procedures, including supervision, appraisal and the induction of new team members.

The purpose of the role is to improve customer satisfaction levels for the service and to oversee and manage the work of EHC Co-coordinators, including advice on managing particularly complex casework and to undertake statutory SEN assessment and placement processes in an efficient and timely manner, reaching appropriate placement decisions for children and young people aged 0-25.
