Description
We are looking for an experienced System Monitoring Specialist with experience in development of Executive Dashboards & System Monitoring Framework.
The successful candidate will have strong skills in the following:
- end-to-end application availability monitoring in a high availability environment;
- the design and development of executive dashboards covering critical application services;
- component availability monitoring;
- resource and performance monitoring;
- the implementation of operational support alerts and dashboards for notification of end-to-end application availability, component availability and resource issues based on business criticality; and
- using Nagios, Splunk, What's Up and SCOM to monitor Windows and Linux applications.

The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- analysis of the monitoring requirements;
- undertake a review of the existing monitoring capabilities within the department;
- develop an executive dashboard prototype;
- recommendation of an integrated monitoring approach; and
- development of a high level design and implementation plan.
