ABOUT THE POSITION

GTN Technical Staffing is seeking multiple Windows Server Engineer/Disaster Recovery Specialists for a 3M contract-to-hire opportunity in Fort Worth, TX. The Windows Server Engineer/Disaster Recovery Specialists will implement technical solutions and processes to ensure full business continuity in the event of massive system failures. This is a Fortune 500 company with an enterprise-level environment. The Windows Server Engineer/Disaster Recovery Specialists will help design and architect Disaster Recovery solutions for appropriate recovery environments leveraging backup solutions and virtualization (Hyper-V). The Windows Server Engineer/Disaster Recovery Specialists MUST have experience designing and implementing Disaster Recovery strategies from scratch in a Windows environment.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of experience in the following skill sets

  • Disaster Recovery Solutions - Design/Architecture/Implementation
  • Business Continuity Planning - Ability to work with other teams to assure Business Unit needs are reflected in their BC plans and match the configured DR environment
  • Hyper-V 2008 R2/2012 (in Enterprise-Level Environment) Ruiz
      • Building Hyper-V in Production Environment
      • Production Builds/Scripting
  • Windows Server R2 Administration/Support - Minimum 50+ Servers
  • Scripting Languages - PowerShell
  • Excellent English/Communication Skills

PREFERRED (but not required)

  • ITIL Certification
  • Windows Server 2012 - Administration/Support
