Hello All,
I have an opening in Bristol for a Financial Accountant with my government client.
This is contract role initially for 3 months with possible extension.
Below is the role description:
Qualifications required for this role:
- Qualified accountant (recognised accountancy body)/CCAB or a good quality part qualified with experience. Government accounting experience would be desirable.
Key tasks and deliverables:
- Preparation financial statements
- Completion of disclosure notes
- Control account reconciliations
- Management accounts preparation
- Range of other accountancy function
Main duties:
Due Diligence
- Populating the data room with requested financial reports and analysis.
- Undertaking ad hoc financial analysis.
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Ensure all balance sheet control accounts reconciled.
- Review and amend processes and compile work instructions.
Statutory reporting
- Support the FC with the preparation of quarterly consolidated accounts and annual statutory reporting.
- Support the MA with monthly KPI analysis and reporting.
- Preparation of statutory gross margin analysis.
- Prepare/update work instructions.
Fixed Assets
- Support the MA to implement revaluation computations by asset item.
- Review asset register and identify items impaired or no longer in existence.
- Reconcile asset register to SUN & Statutory accounts
- Prepare appropriate journals.
Overseas Operations
- Support FC/MA with set up of currency databases and operation of processes and controls for financial results for overseas operations.
- Prepare work instructions
