Senior Fixed Income IT Business Manager is required HSBC Global Banking and Markets.

The SENIOR BUSINESS MANAGER will be the functional coordination point for all IT strategic planning, finance, operational risk, and support activities across an asset class, business, or region. The Senior Business Manager will provide oversight for delivery of support objectives within the asset class, business, or region.

These support functions include Strategy, Operational Risk & Internal Controls, Financials, Human Resources, Communications, Quality, Vendor Management, Relationship Management, Administrative Management, and Organizational Development of the Business Management Office.

Senior Business Managers in a Global Capacity will be responsible for managing the Business Management Office for their respective area (eg Front Office, Infrastructure) on a global scale.
Senior Business Managers in a Regional capacity will be responsible for the management of country specific operational & financial activities within the Core Sites, the alignment of Satellite Sites to Hub & Global Standards, relationship management with the respective HTSX governance organizations, and local facilities management & planning.

Principal Accountabilities

Strategy
Functional coordination point for strategies and objectives;

Operational Risk & Internal Controls
Ensure that all staff are aware of relevant internal instructions (FIMS, GSM's, circulars) and external regulatory requirements;
Oversee the development and management of his or her direct reports, and ensure they have met the relevant internal instructions and external regulatory requirements;
Ensure that application and infrastructure teams are aware of audit reports and that appropriate responses and solutions are provided reporting a timely manner; and
Implement controls to effectively manage operational risk, including self-assessments & active BCC participation.

Global Finance & Planning
Implement strong planning & forecasting techniques in partnership with P&F team;
Manage Rolling Operating Plan and recoveries;
Monitor actual/projected expense levels versus budgets & explain major variances and interface with customers on results;
Manage expense control procedures for IT, identifying and implementing cost savings and administrative/internal controls;
Define and implement financial reporting measures.

Human Resources
Implement HR owned policies and interface with HR to ensure effective processes;
Manage headcount and salary spend; and
Facilitate Performance Management and Pay Review process.

Marketing & Communications
Partner with the HTS GB&M and AMG Communications Manager to facilitate the consistent delivery of communications and information to employees and; adhering to Group standards.

Quality, Vendor Management & Special Projects
Implement quality standards as defined by the owning teams; and
Manage the completion of Group defined surveys and ensure remedial actions are planned and implemented.
Ownership of specific projects as required.
Implement appropriate vendor management disciplines.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications

Proven experience of Business Management with Fixed Income IT

Understands the global strategies of the Group and collaborates with the business at a global level to accomplish these strategies
Strong leadership and management ability, motivating IT employees
Proven ability to prioritise competing demands
Excellent analysis, design and problem solving skills
Exceptional organisational, planning and management skills
Good commercial and financial management ability with proven track record and experience in a service company type model
Proven ability to distil complex and varied data into information that can be utilised to manage and measure performance
Outstanding written/verbal communication and presentation skills
Delivery-focused with ability to pay attention to detail and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality
Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business heads, senior managers, third party consultants, technical experts across the whole department and business users
Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with proven experience working in a Matrix management structure and building and maintaining global team relationships
Evidence of delivery in a similar role within a complex, global organisation
Experience of front to back delivery of Investment product IT delivery in Investment Banking IT
Excellent Project Management skills
Excellent influencer and stakeholder management skills
