Our client, a large financial/investment institution, is currently looking to hire a Investment Guidelines Analyst, to join their team in London initially on a 6 month contract to start in January 2015.
Role Description:
The applicant will have the mission to perform Investment Guidelines activities to ensure the onboarding of portfolios (approximately 100) adopting the client end to end process:
- IG engineering: based on the legal documentations (prospectus and IMAs), identify the list of investment guidelines, worded in the clients standard and stored in CCS (internal tool). Request for a cross-check on the interpretation or cross-check of others. Get the fund manager approval on the interpretation. Identify the regulation, the required market data. Identify gaps with clients monitoring capabilities.
- Request for coding of the different Investment Guidelines: specifications for Data teams and Technology in case of gaps, test the results and compare them to the current Rosenberg controls.
- Identify rationales for discrepancies and propose solutions to be specified and implemented. Get the validation on the non-regression test.
- Participate in the validation of valued positions quality received from Northern Trust (derivatives, short sell).
- Participate in the interpretation of new regulation, if needed.
- Identify, store the internal investment guidelines. Request for coding in clients tools if possible.
Requirements:
Profile & experience
Experience (6 years minimum) in Asset management - Investment Guidelines, Compliance, Risk monitoring or Compliance
Experience
Senior, min 6 years of experience in Investment Guidelines
