We are looking for Field Engineer in CA, the details:

Field Engineer

Location: Costa Mesa, CA

Duration: 6 months+

Start: 2 weeks

The Field Engineer performs a variety of hands-on, technical support responsibilities remotely and in-the-field requiring a thorough working knowledge of information technology and infrastructure administration
Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 client support.

Work closely with IT engineering, client service team, management team and 3rd party vendors to resolve client's technology issues.

Respond and perform timely and accurate scheduled maintenance and service tasks as defined for individual clients.

Ability to resolve technical issues including, but not limited to:

Microsoft Operating Systems
Workstation/Server Hardware
Peripheral Devices including Printers, Scanners, etc.
TCP/IP Networking including Routers, Switches, Firewalls, etc.
Internet Technologies
Common Client Server Applications including MS Office, Adobe, etc.

Make appropriate recommendations and follow-up in order to maintain client's productivity

Take personal initiative for completing tasks, communicating concern and mitigating risk.

Initiate and maintain accurate and timely documentation of client environment, issue resolution, client communication, time and expense tracking, or other documents as required by departmental procedures and Company policy.

Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality service. Demonstrate effective time management skills.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

Five to seven years of experience resolving technical problems and troubleshooting in a Client Server environment.

Two to five years experience leading a service-oriented technology support team.

Strong working knowledge of the following:

Windows Operating Systems (SBS 2003 and 2008, Server 2003 and 2008, Vista, XP, and Windows 7
Microsoft Networking Technologies and Server/PC Hardware Diagnostics
Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, and 2010
Citrix (Metaframe, XEN App, XEN Desktop, etc.)
PDA Service and Support (Blackberry Phones and iPhones, etc.)

Familiarity with ConnectWise, SiteManager (Kaseya), NetSecure (Sonicwall), POINTsecure (AVG), Spam Soap, ShoreTel

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Ability to demonstrate professional written and verbal skills

Ability to self-direct, self-pace, multi-task and function well under pressure of deadlines and conflicting priorities.

Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization

Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Ability to exercise good judgment and demonstrate maturity.

The ability to maintain a physical condition necessary for sitting for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to exert light physical effort, typically involving lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of up to 25 pounds. Tasks may involve extended periods of time sitting at a keyboard or Workstation. The position requires that you be able to perform frequent downward flexion of neck, side-to-side turning of the neck, fine finger dexterity and grasp to manipulate the keyboard, telephone, writing instruments, papers, books, manuals, and reports.

The job entails walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, the ability to reach at and above shoulders, and twisting at the waist. On an infrequent basis, you must be able to squat and kneel.
