Senior SQL DBA - Manchester - Circa £45,000Senior SQL DBA needed to maintain SQL data warehouse due to major growth across the continent. The client is a global leader within its field and is now looking to expand further over the coming years.
The successful SQL DBAs main responsibilities will include
- Developing the SQL sytem to increase usability and effectiveness
- Maintain and manage the SQL System
- Support the end users through project implementation
- Work with the systems analysts to understand the programming requirements
- Deliver to agreed SLA's
Other duties
- Develop and appraise team members where appropriate
- Represent the business viewpoint at supplier and project meetings
- Be a technical expert to the management and user teams
- Give insightful estimates and costs to allow team leaders to plan and prioritise
Minimum technical requirements
SQL version 2000 - later versions preferable
Microsoft DBA experience minimum 4 years
Windows server 2000 - later versions preferable
Visual basics experience
XML / XSL / HTML
