Our client is a leading global construction provider. They require a Finance Manager for 6 months to carry out cost monitoring, reporting and analysis on the major projects within their northern region.

Role Purpose:

  • Responsible for preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts and other financial reports, complying with all relevant accounting policies and requirements
  • Act as a financial partner to the relevant leadership teams to ensure all financial issues are robustly and effectively managed and reported
  • Support operational management to drive business performance to achieve agreed targets
  • Manage the balance sheet, cash flow and credit control routines in accordance with Group policy
  • Work closely with the Commercial teams to understand and influence business performance and manage risks
  • Prepare budgets, strategic road map and forecasts for the region
  • Provide constructive challenge and input into project/contract review meetings to ensure that issues and risks are identified, reported and addressed
  • Support tender review and/or tender adjudication meetings, as required

Skills Required:

  • Previous experience monitoring, reporting and analysing costs for major construction projects (£10m+ spend)
