Rate/Conversion Salary: BOE!
On-Call Rotation: Must be able to support a 24x7 on call rotation. One week on call every two months.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
GTN Technical Staffing has an urgent need for THREE (3) senior Network Engineers opportunity in Irving, TX. Our client is feeling a deep sense of urgency and will begin conducting technical phone screens ASAP. The Network Engineer will troubleshoot complex multi-vendor geographically separated networks. The ideal candidate will possess experience with implementing and maintaining encryption techniques and standards (3DES, PKI, MD5, SSH, and/or SSL), in a client and site-to-site configuration. The Network Engineer should possess expert knowledge in implementing and supporting switched networks, including (VTP, STP, HSRP, trunking, VLANs, port security and monitoring) in a multi-vendor environment. The Engineer MUST have operational level knowledge and experience in the deployment and maintenance of enterprise network routing architectures using protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and RIP.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in the following skill sets
- Cisco Routers/Switches - Configuration/Troubleshooting
- Catalyst 6500 Switches
- Cisco PIX/ASA Firewalls and/or Fortigate Firewalls
- Cisco Unified Communication Products
- Juniper Switches/Routers - Configuration/Troubleshooting
- Administrating Authentication Controls - Radius/RSA/SecureID/TACACS+, etc.
- Logical Network Design - DMZs/WANs/Client Connectivity Solutions
- Route Manipulation - Redistribution/Summarization/Route Filtering/Policy Routing
- Ethernet Switching - CatOS/IOS/JunOS Switch Configurations/VLANs
- Trunking - 802.1q/VLAN
- IOS Features - PAT/NAT/SNMP/NetFlow/QoS
- Server Protocols - SCP/SFTP/HTTPS
- MPLS - Multiprotocol Label Switching
- STP/RST/MSTP - Spanning Tree Protocol
- Network Monitoring Tools - HP Openview/InterMapper/SolarWinds/SiteScope/NetIQ
- OSPF/EIGRP/BGP
- Load Balancing - F5/Microsoft/Citrix NetScaler, etc.
- TCP/IP Packet Analysis - WireShark/Raw Packet Captures using TCPdump
- Networking Concepts/Technologies - Access Control List (ACLs), TCP/IP, VLANs, VRF, VSS, VDC, Port channeling, Traffic Shaping, Priority Queuing, IP Multicast and Routing Protocols, etc.
- Basic UNIX/Windows Administration - VI/File Manipulation/Regedit/Active Directory, etc.
