Leading financial institution requires 5 Java / Scala / Big Data Developers to work on a truly Greenfield, 5 year programme.

The project is a new Greenfield big data based system to house market risk for Equities business in the short term, with Interest Rates, FX, Credit and Commodities to follow in the medium to long term.

The technology will be Hadoop, with a Scala / Java server side sitting on top with an HTML5/ Javascript client side. Linked together with the Play framework.

Technical interviews will based on Scala and Java.

Rates: TBC negotiable
Start: 2x December, 2-3x Jan/Feb
Contract: 6 months rolling
