A Leading Investment Bank based in Edinburgh is currently seeking a Fund Administrator on a contract basis.

Working to ensure the delivery of Investment Administration services to assigned clients you will be responsible for the following:

Processing security trade transactions in line with the underlying funds valuation points.
Updating trades either electronically or manually, check output to ensure that details are accurately reflected onto the portfolios.
Matching of Security Trades, based on details received from Managers and Brokers.
Monitor trade matching process, check output and record unmatched items and then follow up.
Issuing settlement instructions for trades and other transaction types to Custodians within agreed time-scales.
Sending instructions to Custodians via SWIFT/faxes and ensure all transaction cut-off periods are met.
Following up of queries with Client/Brokers, and daily checking of failed trades information received from Custodian, as well as investigating interest claims that have been received.
Maintain details of Broker/Counterparty Standing settlement Data, and data on Alert, or other standing data on Datamapper.

To be successful in this role you will require the following skills and experience:

Knowledge & industry experience within:
Failed Trades
Trade Matching
Trade Settlements
Familiar and conversant with Custodians and Brokers
Excellent knowledge of Settlement Practices with Investment Operations - ideally - Crest, DTC, Euroclear and Clearstream.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and clients at senior management level.
Ability to monitor performance against objectives, through the development of MI and taking corrective action.
