For one of our clients in Amsterdam we are looking for an IT Specialist in the role of Linux DEV Engineer.
Algemene kennis/ervaring Senior Linux Dev Engineer:
Enthusiast and communicative technician
Experience in implementation and management of compex business applications, including organising and interpreting performance- and acceptance tests.
Technical knowledge of Linux (RHEL).
WebSphere (WAS 8.5) is a pre.

Inhoudelijke omschrijving Senior Linux Dev Engineer:
The DEV Engineer works in a DevOps team which consists of Dev Engineers en Ops Engineers
Is responsible for the design, development and test of applications.
Proactive and reactive actions are taken to assure continuity and compliance.
This is a generic role description. Focus areas may differ per team and/or employee, depending on the specific activities performed within this role.
Design, Build, and Early Test Phases;
Operational Production Support after GoLive.
Overige informatie Senior Linux Dev Engineer:
Experience across various levels of testing, acceptance, production acceptance, functional, and regression, and E2E and chain tests across large scale environments.
Well experienced with Linux/Unix (>5yrs) including system commands, & scripting, configuration of applications on Linux.
Experience with WebSphere applciation Server is pre
Experience with IBM OpenPages is pre
Werkzaamheden Senior Linux Dev Engineer:
Integration and implementation of compex business applications on PaaS solutions (Linux RHEL 7).
Configuration development of IBM OpenPages and IBM Cognos BI.
Implementation of security standards and administration of that in Security Matrixes
Management of WebSphere installation Manager with OpConsole.
Maintain up-to-date specific installation and configuration documentation.
Knowledge buildup and transfer of Linux stack, configuration standards of special applicaties.
Verantwoordelijkheden Senior Linux Dev Engineer:
The moste important activities in this function are installing, configure and testing of the applications, in particularly packetsollutions from the supplier such as IBM (OpenPages WebSphere, Cognos en Cognos Mobile) on the Linux (RHEL) platform.
Wat moet er worden gerealiseerd? Senior Linux Dev Engineer:
IBM OpenPages met Cognos BI en Mobile moeten worden geïmplementeerd op een volledig nieuwe omgeving (Linux/Websphere). Tijdens dit grote project zal er intensief samengewerkt moeten worden met leveranciers (o.a. IBM), Infra afdelingen en de business.
