Bank of America Merrill Lynch has an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to join their CFO Division to work on a major Change Project initially on a 6 month contract. The team you will be joining provides finance support to the EMEA Treasury Funding desk, Liquidity Risk Management (LRM) as well as liaison with the Global Treasury Finance function.

The responsibilities of this role will include:
-Daily P&L production
-Balance Sheet substantiation in line with key SoX processes
-Analytical review of treasury positions (monthly and quarterly analysis)
-Intercompany balances and settlements - investigation of breaks and coordination of issues
-Ad-hoc liaison with the treasury funding desk
-Support for the ongoing wind-down of the MLIB legal entity (eg trade reduction, client migration, capital repatriation etc)
-Ownership of key Middle Office and finance systems during transition

Requirements
-A qualified accountant ideally with experience within a Finance/Middle Office area within a large financial services organisation or equivalent.
-A high quality communicator, able to face off to the Treasury funding desk on financial matters, and to be a credible advisor and partner
-Highly skilled in Excel communication and ideally familiar with Treasury systems
-Knowledgeable on core Investment Banking product knowledge, and the ability to transfer skill-set to Treasury related product activity (eg FX swaps, bonds, repo/reverse repo, and money market instruments)
