Description

Responsible for projects involving engineering, and deployment configuration of core network elements. Part of a 24X7 staff to deliver network tech support. Provides troubleshooting and leadership required to recover from the most complex network problems. Identification of root cause, resolution, work arounds, testing and implementation of vendor/IT fixes or design changes. May review/interpret technical documentation and vendor specs for inclusion and adaptation into database templates. Sound understanding of principles and protocols.

Roles & Responsibilities:
1) Responsible for provisioning and troubleshooting network nodes.
2) Responsible for management of processes, documentation, customer/vendor communication, etc.
2) Responsible for Distributed Antenna System design and troubleshooting.
3) Analyze and resolve RF propagation issues including external interference.
4) Implement project plans to move new requirements from planning stage to deployment and steady-state support.
5) Support shipboard teams to resolve network issues remotely.
6) Integrate and troubleshoot new sites and carriers with shipboard personnel.

Required Skills:
  • 2G Wireless Networking
  • Microsoft Office Suites, expert in MS Excel
  • PMP certification
  • Project Management
  • Radio Frequency - RF call flow
  • Radio Frequency - RF parameters
  • Telco wireless

Education:
  • BS degree in Math, Science or Engineering, Computer Science or Operations preferred or equivalent related network experience.

Experience:
  • 3-5 years of network engineering or related experience
