Glocomms are currently recruiting for a Support Engineer for a leading Communications company based in Ireland. The role is to support end users on a site of approx. 4000 users and will be part of a team of support personnel. This is a 10 Month contract with a start date of 1 decembeer. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and a good working knowledge of laptops typical anti-virus and MS Office suite.Must understand networking and be capable of following processes:
Key tasks are:
- Loaner & New PC equipment provisioning
- Authentication hardware provisioning like active card smart cards, Active Keys, and Smartcard readers for users using HP internal systems
- New PC setup, installation, re-imaging and End-user data transfer.
- PC System software support
- PC Hardware support (Break-fix & accessories replacement)
- How to end-users questions on HP tools & processes (ex: Sign up for remote access, Obtain/Use a Digital Badge, Sign up for MMS, Order an HP Pay Phone, Order a PC Monitor, Order non-supplied accessories, check the status of a PC order, view PC Refresh Status, Obtain Software for my PC, Re-image my PC, Set or Reset my Password, Log into an Desk Phone, Obtain a conference number, Use Office Communicator, Connect to HP wireless, Install Disk Encryption)
- Smartphone Support (ex: Activate, Setup HP email/calendar/contacts,Mobile Hotspot setup)
- Loaner & New PC management, parts ordering & inventory management, shipping & receiving management
- Existing tools, utilities, procedures, work processes, and workflow modified or replaced when required
