INTERIM ICT PROCUREMENT & CONTRACTS MANAGER - Higher Education - London - 6 months interim - Market Rate - ASAPA leading University is looking for a ICT Procurement and Contracts Manager.
As part of a Strategic Transformation of Information and Technology team, you will be required to deliver a first class ICT procurement and contracts service supporting the University's overall procurement strategy, the University sustainable procurement strategy and the goals of the Strategic Transformation of Information and Technology programme.
To provide sustainable, best value for money procurement and contracts for the University; to provide effective supplier management and to ensure an efficient interface between users and suppliers.
Must have:
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply or other appropriate professional body (or working towards).
- Strong negotiation skills, a good understanding of contract law and knowledge and experience of the application of E.U. Public Procurement Regulations (OJEU)
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
- Evidence of appreciation of the dynamics of higher education and an empathy with academic endeavour, without necessarily having previously worked in the HE sector
