Key tasks and responsibilities
  • Support the Contract Lead by having responsibility for the contract award and on-going management for a portfolio.
  • Utilising lead and associate commission arrangements works collaboratively within the locality, across Lancashire and across a wider footprint to ensure consistency of contract standards and key performance indicators.
  • Active contract performance management to ensure contracted services remain within budget, achieve required activity levels and deliver quality focused and outcome based services.
  • Liaison with colleagues to transform commissioned services ensuring activities are delivered in the most appropriate setting by the most appropriate provider, delivering desired outcomes, offering value for money and providing on-going quality improvements.
  • Ensure rigorous financial control of all commissioned activities, identifying appropriate strategies for monitoring financial performance of commissioned services and ensures best value for money.
  • Demonstrate full understanding of negotiation dynamics and consistently utilises successful negotiating and influencing behaviours
Key Skills
  • Health sector experience in any field
  • Experience of performance management
  • Improvement and project management skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Excel knowledge

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience and knowledge of health sector contract management
  • PBR Payment by Results is also advantageous.
