Description
The RoleA Project Manager is needed to help deliver over 1000 desktop and laptops as part of a managed service process.
This project will be highlighted to other project sponsors as it will be a test case for further projects.
The individual would be expected to project manage the first phase of this project, as well as coordinating the development of the project brief and business case for the remaining phases. They will be expected to manage and motivate a project team as well as mentoring an internal project manager to ensure effective hand over for subsequent project phases.

- Improvement in data centre infrastructure
- Web single sign
The Person
- Experience of the application of key principles of industry standard project management techniques such as PRINCE 2 or APM to successfully deliver projects.
- Experience of project managing ICT projects with a large procurement element. This will include external supplier negotiation.
- Knowledge and understanding of application streaming, desktop virtualisation, hybrid cloud and related technologies
- Substantial experience of stakeholder management, including with Senior Management and technical teams.
- Excellent communication
- Previous project management experience in Higher Education/Further Education desired
- PRINCE2 qualified would be also desired
