Description
The team at Springboard Retail is looking for a UI Designer / Frontend Web Developer to take our user experience and visual design to the next level. You should be as comfortable designing pixel perfect UIs as you are implementing them and you should be able to build and maintain fully functional, production-ready UIs with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
You will play a key role in advancing the UI/UX of our multi-tenanted web-based software as a service (SaaS) application suite. You’ll have the opportunity to develop creative solutions to challenging problems and influence technology choices.
This is a long term, full-time contract position. It doesn't matter where you're located. Remote work is no problem.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design and execute the look and feel of our UI/UX.
- Help us elevate the quality of our product for today’s customers and always be looking for ways to provide a greater experience to current and future users.
- Work closely with the product team to organize, design and implement new features for our product.
- Work with product and engineering to determine requirements, articulate and advocate user needs and then turn those needs into concepts and elegant interface designs.
- Help us develop and maintain design wireframes, mockups, and specifications.
- Excellent UI and visual design skills
- Strong understanding of UX principles
- Mastery of JavaScript/HTML/CSS and related web technologies
- Experience working with at least one JavaScript application framework (e.g. Angular, Ember, React/Flux, Backbone.js)
- Experience with JavaScript unit testing (e.g. Jasmine, QUnit, Mocha, etc.)
- Computer Science (or related) degree
- Experience in the retail domain
