Seeking a Quality Manager to help manage rapid growth and quality control. The Quality Manager will be responsible for the execution of the day-to-day duties of the Quality Control functions, is a self-starter employee, resourceful and willing to contribute with ideas, suggestions and able to recognize needs and originate correspondent and appropriate actions. Will also have the capability to express self clearly in typical business interactions on an individual and group basis.

Our objective is to provide a system that promptly detects non-conformances and provides timely and effective control and corrective actions. This Quality System establishes an effective means of assuring product quality. It is our policy to provide full compliance with the Quality System throughout all facets of contract performance and the order fulfillment process. This ensures that all of our products and services meet or exceed the expected company standards as well as those of our customers and the ISO 9001 regulations.
We operate the Quality System as an overall management system for all products.

Essential Functions:
  • Participate in senior leadership meetings and be an active contributor in the leadership of the business. In this role this individual will contribute to making positive changes to how we execute our mission of TOTAL CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.
  • Will be a liaison to internal and external customers, suppliers, source inspectors, and auditors.
  • Will effectively and efficiently plan his/her workload to perform and accomplish all task and activities assigned.
  • Will demonstrate proficiency with the usage of modern business tools (eg typical business software applications).
  • Requires a dedication to all internal and external commitments to meet deadlines and schedule and will assume responsibility for assignments.
  • Will assist with all Internal and external customer, supplier, and 3rd Party Registrar Audits.
  • Will be an active participant in all meetings requiring QA personnel and will maintain open communication with his/her peers and the Quality Team Lead's at all times.
  • Will retain updated records of all corrective action and direct contact with customers.
  • Will assist in the implementation of 24 hours turn around response in all of the customers Corrective Actions Requests.
  • Responsible for coordination of the part disposition, the Quality Manager will interact with the manufacturing staff; Director of Operations, and programmers, to complete non-conformance dispositions.
  • Will assist with the technical review of Purchase Orders and Work Orders.
  • The Quality Manager will interact with the purchasing agent, engineering, planning and all internal customers within the company as required.
  • Will assist with final inspection and Programming as required.
  • The Quality Manager will assist inspectors in the generation of Inspection Plans and First Article Inspection Reports as required.
  • Manages Operator Assistance Program.
  • Assists in customer source inspection activity as required.
  • Supports all Inspection areas in emphasizing acceptance and rejection criteria.
  • Control and ownership of inspection and auditing processes.

SKILLS:

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S./B.A.) from a 4 year accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a Quality System, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
  • Must be familiar with sheet metal fabrication, sheet metal pressing, welding, powder/liquid paint, assembly, and extensive quality systems and auditing knowledge.
  • Stable work history
  • Requires strong and knowledge-based decision making skills.
  • Must be able to take the lead in inspection/quality related projects and facilitate successful completion within the set timelines.
  • A competent degree of knowledge in performing and auditing production components and applications.
  • Ability to ensure conformance to requirements outlined by customer specifications and engineering documentation.
  • Task/Project Management experience and the ability to successfully complete time dependent programs.
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The capability and maturity to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be capable to gain the respect and cooperation of management, supervision levels, peers, subordinates and others.
  • Will be required to be knowledgeable with quality assurance and manufacturing processes and procedures as they relate to the position.
  • Will possess comprehensive knowledge in use of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and problem solving skill to assist in identifying the root cause of non-conformances, implementing corrective action and training in mistake-proofing to ensure corrective actions are effective in eliminating reoccurring non-conformance and improving process controls are in place.
