An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Systems Integration Engineer to join a leading Automotive Tier 1. Successful candidates will be hands-on automotive engineers with a proven experience in the Vector tool suite.
Systems Integration Engineer
The Role
You will work at the upper levels of the development cycle, assisting with system integration and testing activities to ensure compliance with your requirements.
What you'll do
- Support the integration and test of Electric Power Steering systems and prototypes
- Support system verification and validation activities (Environmental, EMC, In-vehicle)
- Assist in the generation of test cases and test procedures and customer requirements
- Support analysis and review of test results and test activities as required to ensure requirements at all levels are verified
- Maintain test results and verification matrices
- Support and lead issue resolution activities as necessary
- Support dFMEA and other safety analyses both at a system level and ensuring continuity at a sub-system level
- Assist with the management of customer requirements documents including appropriate reviews and performing impact analysis
- Evaluate product change requests from internal and external sources
What we are looking for
Essential:
- 2.1 or better degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Two years experience in integration and test of complex electronic/mechanical systems
- Rigorous and positive approach to issue resolution
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively
- Knowledge of a range of engineering disciplines
Desirable:
- Knowledge of automotive electronics/electrical systems
- Experience with use of Vector software applications (CANape, CANalyser, CANflash)
- Knowledge of design for safety critical systems
- Knowledge of requirements management tools (DOORS)
