Permanent - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. South Aberdeen.Progressive Global Energy are currently working with a leading subsea service company in the recruitment of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis within their office situated in South Aberdeen.
My client has specialist expertise in well intervention and well control and are very experienced in the design, construction and operation of various subsea products.
Skills and experience required:
- Strong 3D modelling experience ideally utilizing Solidworks although candidates with varying software package knowledge may be considered
- Proven experience of full product lifecycle from conceptual design through to testing and building
- Previous experience developing, mentoring and coaching more junior engineers
- Strong experience working within a subsea environment
On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:
- Interpretation of requirements into workable designs
- Responsible for any associated calculations including the approval of colleagues calculations and drawings
- Writing of test procedures and other documentation
- Mentoring of junior engineers
Qualifications required:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
